High School Rodeo President
Hey, I’m Taylor Eastridge the WVHSRA student Vice President. I love to ride, rope, spend quality time with my family, and work with young horses. I compete in 5 events Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Pole Bending, Breakaway, and Goat tying. I have already accomplished some of my goals by placing 15th in the average at The Junior High Nationals in 2017, then again in 2018 placing 8th in barrels, and 19th in Team Roping, in 2019 at High School Nationals placed 28th in poles. I strive to conquer my goals by working hard to achieve them.
West Virginia Rodeo Queen
My name is Lauren Parent and I am the West Virginia High School Rodeo Association Queen. I am a 16 year old junior at Shady Spring High School, and I have been in the High school rodeo for six years. I compete in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, and team roping. I have earned multiple state titles, and am a 5 time national qualifier.
Junior High School President
My name is Emilee Legg I am 13 years old I’m a student at Sissonville middle school I am the President for the WV Junior High team. I am a 5 year member of the team. The events I compete in are barrel racing, pole bending, team roping, and goat tying my team roper is Grace Osborne. My favorite thing to do is taking care of my animals and riding my horses. I am a member of the 4-H and I show a steer at the Putnam County Fair. My goal this year is to win a belt buckle in one or more of my events and make it to the jr high national finals rodeo. In the future I plan to become a vet tech.

With an mind for strategy, Drew Carlyle makes every play an exciting one. There is no wonder that Drew Carlyle was chosen as the team’s Captain, and we couldn’t be any prouder.
Junior High School Secretary
Hey everyone! My name is Hannah Burks from Pocahontas county, WV I attend Marlinton Middle School as an 8th grader. I’m active in 4H, Church youth group, and National Junior Honor Society. This year will be my second year competing with the WV Junior High School Rodeo. I compete in barrels, poles, goats tying, and barrel racing. When I’m not spending time with my horses in with my pets, or playing basketball. I wish everyone the best of luck this season.
